We got a lot of great Rick and Chelsea content in The White Lotus season 3… But there’s more out there that may never see the light of day!
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood shocked fans on Wednesday when Variety dropped a joint interview where they discussed all things feud rumors. It was a LOT! From laughter, to tears, to a re-following on Instagram after all the unfollowing drama that started this whole mess. The pair assured fans there’s NO issues between them at all and that they actually have a lot of love for one another!
But another little nugget stashed away in the interview has to do with footage they shot for The White Lotus which was left on the cutting room floor: another sex scene!

During the chat, Aimee Lou revealed that when their characters reunite on the beach in the finale, they originally went back to their hotel room to discuss their relationship. She claimed the scene had a “similar feel” to the famous “that’s the plan” scene where Rick confirms to Chelsea that he wants to be with her forever:
“We designed the whole journey, even down to the fact that Chelsea gets on Rick in the first [love] scene. Then in the last episode, it was Rick picking Chelsea up. It was so, so delicate.”
Walton added that while their first sex scene shows their physical connection, “the last one was two people who were free. It was this very long, suspended moment of these two people looking at each other. It was so powerful.”
And he’s clearly VERY displeased that it was ultimately chopped from the final cut because in a hilarious moment, he directed a message at creator Mike White:
“F**k you, Mike! We want a director’s cut!”
HA!
Well if it helps them to feel better, they weren’t the only ones who had their sex scene cut!
