West Bank: Settlers move to block prospects for Palestinian statehood

For several weeks now, the Israeli government has been stepping up announcements of settlement expansions or the legalisation of wildcat outposts in the occupied West Bank. The recognition of a Palestinian state by France and other Western countries is accelerating Israel’s occupation of the territory. Is the aim to make it irreversible?
