What is the ‘Peacemaker’ season two opening credits song?

Peacemaker is back for a second season, but what song plays over the opening credits this time around? Find out below.

The John Cena-driven superhero series began as a spin-off from the 2021 film The Suicide Squad, which was part of the DC Extended Universe at the time. The first season aired in early 2022 and followed the jingoistic mercenary Chris Smith, aka Peacemaker.

Since then, the new incarnation of DC Studios has launched, with James Gunn at the head, and the new DC Universe opened with Gunn’s Superman earlier this summer.

Peacemaker season two is now the first live action television series in the DC Universe, with the first episode having debuted on HBO Max in the US on Thursday (August 21). The remaining seven episodes will air weekly until the finale on October 9. In the UK, episodes will air the following day on Sky Max and NOW.

Alongside Cena will be returning stars Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee and Robert Patrick, as well as newcomers Michael Rooker, Frank Grillo and David Denman.

What is the Peacemaker season two opening credits song?

Season one of the show was soundtracked by ‘Do Ya Wanna Taste It’ by Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam, with the opening credits showing the cast performing a serious, choreographed dance number.

This time around, the opening credits are soundtracked by ‘Oh Lord’ by Foxy Shazam, a Cincinnati alt-rock band. The track was first released on their self-titled third studio album in 2010.

At San Diego Comic-Con last month, Gunn revealed the song, describing Foxy Shazam as “my favourite band in the world that is objectively the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band in the world”.
