The sixth round of US-Iran nuclear talks were due to be held this weekend, but following Israel’s strikes on Iran it is now “rather unlikely” those talks will go ahead, says Iran expert and senior lecturer at Lund University Rouzbeh Parsi. However, returning to negotiations may be the only way to prevent the conflict escalating further and dragging in the Americans, he says.
