When does the ‘Battlefield 6’ BR come out?

Battlefield 6 BR Release: Several soldiers can be seen running from a building.

Battlefield 6 has been a roaring success for DICE and EA, and players are loving the multiplayer. While the campaign has received some mixed responses, most players are keen to know when its upcoming third mode will release. This classic, battle royale experience will blend the survival experience with Battlefield‘s signature destruction and vehicles.

But, when will it come out, and what can you expect? Here is what we know.

Battlefield 6’s BR is likely to release sometime in 2026. Very little of the mode has been confirmed or shown off by EA yet, but they have confirmed its existence. The mode is undergoing pretty significant testing by players, and there was no hint of it coming in Season 1, which begins on October 28, 2025.

Therefore, it will most likely arrive in Season 2 or Season 3 sometime in the first half of 2026. The mode will be quite different from regular multiplayer and hopefully do a lot better than the Firestorm mode from Battlefield V.

That mode notoriously received very few updates from EA and fizzled out after its original release. So, to ensure that Battlefield 6‘s BR is around for the long-term, EA will need to balance updates for it with the regular multiplayer updates and seasonal content.

Hopefully, EA will start to reveal more about the mode towards the start of Season 2, so players can jump in and get the large-scale BR experience they have been wanting from the series ever since PUBG and Fortnite changed the genre almost a decade ago.
