Nicole Kidman is finally going to get her long-awaited family reunion!
After Nicole split from Tom Cruise in 2001, their adopted children Isabella Jane, 32, and Connor, 30, sided with Dad. They grew up in the Scientology world, far removed from Nicole.
The Practical Magic star moved on with Keith Urban and had two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. But she never forgot about her kids with Tom. Far from it. She’s been trying to reconnect with the Cruise kids for quite some time. And now she’s not the only one who wants to bring the family back together!

According to RadarOnline.com on Thursday, the Mission: Impossible star has agreed to meet with his ex-wife and their two children this summer in Europe! That’s amazing! He’s also hoping to use the time to patch things up with Keith! He, well… didn’t think very highly of the country singer, as it turns out! An insider revealed:
“Tom used to be incredibly dismissive of Keith. He saw him as some hillbilly crooner who wasn’t good enough for Nicole and couldn’t believe she’d ended up with a guy like that. But over the years, Tom’s perspective has shifted.”
Tom has “come to respect” the musician, who is a recovering addict, after he “cleaned up his act” and has proven himself as a “steady, loving partner.” It helps that his kids have also “spoken very highly” of him, which has helped “soften Tom.” Great!
The Top Gun star primarily lives in the UK, per the source, and he wants to heal things with Nicole because he’s trying to enter a “fresh chapter” of his life, in thanks to his romance with Ana de Armas:
“No doubt it helps that Tom’s madly in love with Ana de Armas. That’s shifted his perspective on everything in life because he’s just so darn happy.”
Thanks to the romance, Tom is “seeing things through a much different lens” — and that includes being able to see where he went wrong:
“He’s now able to admit that he hasn’t always handled things the right way when it comes to Nicole — or Keith. But Tom’s ready to lay it to rest. He’s told friends he doesn’t want to be the kind of guy who holds grudges forever.”
A lot of this family reunion is a credit to Bella, who took the first step in reconnecting with the Babygirl star and her step-siblings ever since reaching out to the actress after her own mother died last year. Things are going so well with that reconciliation that it’s time for them all to make amends, the confidant explained:
“Bella has grown a lot closer to Nicole, and that’s created a bridge back to Tom. She’s been encouraging this meeting behind the scenes — not only working to soften Tom, but also Connor, who’s very much a daddy’s boy.”
The Perfect Couple lead really wants Bella and Connor back in her life more, so if making amends with Tom is the way to do it, she’s on board:
“If having peace with Tom comes along with that, she will be absolutely thrilled.”
This would be so nice for them all! (OMG, especially if it meant Tom and Nicole did a movie together again! Can you imagine??)
