France’s Prime Minister is to face a vote of no confidence on October 16, 2025 after the left and far-right announced it would test the current government. Socialists are momentarily backing Sebastien Lecornu following changes to pension plans, but a number of them have said they will still vote for the motion of no confidence citing austerity measures that remain in his budget proposal for 2026.
