An Illinois woman has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly giving birth to a 14-year-old boy’s child. JFC…
This horrible case started back in January when 43-year-old Robyn Polston (pictured above) gave birth to a baby, according to legal docs obtained by People. Per an affidavit from Tazewell County Assistant State Attorney Cassandra Wilkins, cops received a report about the newborn and its potential paternity, which sent the Washington Police Department down a disturbing rabbit hole.
The tip suggested Polston’s new baby was fathered by a 14-year-old boy — who was a friend of the woman’s young daughter. A week after police began their investigation, they got a copy of the infant’s birth certificate. They immediately noticed the baby had the same middle and last names as the alleged teen victim, which raised alarms.
But when they confronted Polston with that information, she denied what now seemed obvious — though horrifying. She claimed instead that the father of the newborn was “a man in his twenties named Brian” who she hadn’t seen since she gave birth. This is where the police’s investigation took a disgusting turn…

They started to put together the pieces of the mom’s relationship with the 14-year-old boy. They discovered, per the affidavit, that the boy was good friends with the 43-year-old’s daughter. The mom had even chaperoned a dance back in 2023 that her daughter attended with the alleged victim. It’s worth noting that the boy was said to have moved away shortly after the dance, but returned for a visit in April 2024 — just 40 weeks before Polston gave birth. In other words, in the perfect window to have sired the child.
The teen also returned in June for a brief time before he permanently moved back to the town in August, moving in with the family of a “friend”. So, according to all this information, the timelines do line up. Awful.
On top of all that, the affidavit claims that police discovered “a large number of sexually explicit images and videos depicting [the alleged victim] and Polston”. A DNA test has also allegedly confirmed what everyone was fearing: the child does indeed belong to the young boy…
With all this evidence stacked up against her, Polston was arrested earlier this week and charged with multiple felonies: two counts of criminal sexual assault with a victim between the ages of 13 and 17 and two counts of possession of child pornography, per court records. Each of these charges can give her up to 15 years in prison — meaning she’s looking at a possible 60 years of jail time in total.
Right now, Polston is being held without bail as she awaits her arraignment which is scheduled for December 4.
Such a nauseating situation. We truly hope the victim can get the justice he deserves. Our heart absolutely breaks for this innocent baby, too.
