The price you pay for being mean…
WWE star Grayson Waller panicked and thought he was going to need to battle Travis Kelce after making a wildly nasty comment about Taylor Swift! Back in October 2023, Grayson appeared on a now-defunct WWE web series called The Bump when he discussed the Kansas City Chiefs star’s new romance with the pop star. He wasn’t into it, dissing:
“If Travis Kelce is happy settling for a 6, good for him.”
Jeez!!!

Flash forward several years, and he MET them both in person! During Tuesday’s episode of INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the athlete recalled his diss, saying:
“That’s a great line. I was pretty happy with that. But I didn’t even think about it until all of a sudden I have these cringe moms on TikTok who don’t spend time with their kids doing videos on me about how ugly I am. They were saying some wild stuff. Swiftie fans are mean.”
Yeah, you do not want to mess with the Swifties! But he should’ve seen the backlash coming — his comment was rude AF, and he doesn’t even sound sorry for it!
After the online drama died down, though, the wrestler was invited to Travis’ Tight End University earlier this year — where he came face to face with the NFL pro… and the singer! He said:
“They did a party one night. Me, Bayley and Sheamus all went to Nashville. We went to the party. And then [Swift] and Travis Kelce were both there. In the back of my mind, she doesn’t know who I am. But imagine if at some stage, they’re scrolling through their phone and they’ve seen this idiot Australian has said a really rude thing. I’m a bit like, ‘Man, I’m going to have to fight Travis Kelce.’”
And seeing the tight end in person made that a lot more scary!
“I’ve said multiple times I’ll fight Travis Kelce. And then I saw how big tight ends are and how big he was. Man, I’m going to win but it’s going to be a scrap.”
He was prepared to get into it when the football star walked up to the group — but Travis was totally chill:
“I was like, ‘Here we go.’ But he was super nice … He didn’t have to come over and chat with us. Super chill. Chatted with us for a bit.”
Waller didn’t have a formal meeting with Taylor, but they had a brief interaction:
“I didn’t get to meet Taylor officially. She did walk past me at some stage and I had to move and go, ‘Oh sorry.’ And she said, ‘Thank you.’ So I think that’s the reconciliation.”
Uh, yeah, no. It sounds like Taylor and Travis likely had no idea who this guy was or what he’d said, TBH. We doubt they’d be inviting him otherwise…
The Anti-Hero artist seemed to win the hater over a little based on her vibe at the party, he reflected:
“I guess in my head I thought, ‘Taylor Swift, she’s going to have all of this security around her.’ She was just sinking beers with the boys, just hanging upstairs. I was like, ‘She’s a good one.’”
But he’s got no interest in seeing her live — aside from the unexpected concert he got when she joined Kane Brown on stage at the event:
“I’m good, I’m good. I went to one. She sung a song in front of us.”
He’s clearly not her biggest fan…
