Zimbabwe hosted a high-level meeting with representatives from the East African Community and the Southern African Development Community to address the worsening conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. This gathering comes in the wake of SADC’s announcement to conclude its military mission in the region, leaving a critical gap in efforts to stabilize the area amid rising violence and humanitarian concerns.
